The first woman we look to for guidance, a nurturer, a protector, a mentor. A few of the first things that come to mind when we think about 'Moms'... Granted every mother-child relationship has its differences. We consistently recognize these traits in our favorite Mommas.
A Mother isn't singularly defined by the biological definition of Motherhood (NOT EVEN CLOSE). Mothering is for the majority about what occurs after the birthing process. The unique relationship that is formed. Mothers...They are the women who teach us about life, the women who provide unconditional love, these women create an unbreakable bond... what defines being a mother is SO much bigger and greater then simply having a child.
Our Island Cowgirl Family has been blessed with some truly kick ass Moms! These women have gone above and beyond the basis for motherhood. They built the foundation that we stand on as strong women, leading by example, with compassion and beauty. These women are what we call a MAMA!
The Mother of our fabulous ICJ designer...A single mother of 3, a cancer survivor, a caregiver, a spitfire!
Our Social Media Mavens Mom, Barb... An entrepreneur, a laugher, a single mother of one, a fighter, a free-bird.
Chris, the Mother of our lovely company manager/Heathers right hand chick, Simone, a go getter, a bombshell, a French Canadian/Italian, Brooklyn, NY native... need i say more?
And then there is Sheila... If being a wonderful mother to two of her own children wasn't enough she also has become a phenomenal adoptive mother/grandmother to all of us here at Island Cowgirl. A sweetheart, a jokester and all around joy!
